About Me

There are very few things in the world superior to that of a good book. The smell of the pages, the way a new binding feels when you open it for the first time--these are emotions that are stirred up in a passionate reader. For the reader knows that upon opening a book, you will be transported to a new world.

But if not for writing, books would be of no existence. From a young age, writing has been a passion of mine. I love using words to express my thoughts, feelings, life events, and even "stories."

Both writing and reading have influenced me. I'm an English major in college with an equal emphasis in both literature and writing. For three years, I have also been a children's librarian at the Meridian Library in Meridian, Idaho. There is nothing like seeing children learn to read and then LOVE to read. I have become reacquainted with where to find Junie B. Jones, Magic Tree House, and others on the shelves once again.

My personal dream is to be a food critic and write a book someday. Fiction is not the world for me--too many authors have already used my ideas--but that being said, I want to critique and review fiction. After all, it's in my field.

However, I'm not your stereotypical librarian with a taut bun and wire rimmed glasses. In fact, you will rarely, if ever, see me in something other than heels. And I made the transition to contacts years ago. I believe that while having a well read mind is good, so is being well dressed in a chic, classy outfit. Hence: The Chic Bibliophile.

When not writing and reading, I watch TV (yes, I do sometimes prefer movies to books), spend time with my family, travel, cook and bake up a storm, and cheer on my favorite football teams. Life is never dull for me--I look forward to sharing that passion with you.
